Miguel Sarre
Lawyer and Associate Professor
Miguel Sarre (Mexico) is a retired Associate Professor at ITAM and was a member of the United Nations Subcommittee on Prevention of Torture, SPT (2007-2014).
He holds an LL.M. degree from the University of Notre Dame, a Law degree from the Escuela Libre de Derecho at Mexico City and is a doctor honoris causa by the Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Penales (INACIPE). He was a promoter of the institution of the ombudsman in Mexico and was the first one to occupy the position of the ombudsperson in the country.
